Bhavesh Modi
Bhavesh Modi is a corporate transactional attorney focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital and emerging company matters, and healthcare law. With experience that includes healthcare regulatory and enforcement work, he brings informed judgment to both transactions and day-to-day corporate counseling. Clients value his ability to translate legal complexity into clear, actionable advice and to support efficient decision-making in time-sensitive situations.
Bhavesh represents buyers and sellers in M&A transactions and advises startups, investors, and private equity clients on investments, fundraising, corporate governance, and commercial matters. He also brings significant healthcare industry experience, counseling healthcare practices, healthcare organizations, and health technology companies on regulatory and compliance considerations that arise in connection with growth, investment, operations, and strategic change.
Most recently, Bhavesh served as Associate General Counsel at Regency Integrated Health Services, LLC, a large skilled nursing facility management company. In that role, he partnered closely with business leaders on transactions and ongoing, daily legal needs in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Before going in-house, Bhavesh represented private equity sponsors, healthcare companies, and early-stage growth businesses at Griffin Frey, PLLC; Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP; and Winstead PC, including work with private equity, startup, and healthcare-focused teams. This mix of in-house and law firm experience helps him provide practical, business-minded counsel across both strategic transactions and ongoing outside general counsel support.
Earlier in his career, Bhavesh served in public sector roles with the Texas Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Medicaid Fraud Division and with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. This experience provides him with a strong foundation in healthcare regulation and enforcement.
Bhavesh earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and currently resides in New York City.
